In a sharp critique, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray took the Maharashtra government to task after videos emerged showing policemen filling potholes in Mumbai and Mira Bhayander. Thackeray questioned the unusual deployment of police for this task, suggesting that firms tied to BJP allies should be held accountable instead.
Posting on the social media platform X, Thackeray remarked, 'Instead of the contractor friends of the BJP and ‘mindhe’ regime, police are being made to fill potholes. Ever seen a contractor or contracting firm owner being made to fill such potholes by the regime?'
He further escalated the matter by tagging the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in another post, rhetorically stating, 'Shame on NHAI.'
