The Telangana Legislative Assembly on Tuesday paid rich tributes to the late BRS MLA G Lasya Nanditha, who tragically passed away in a road accident in February this year.

Marking the start of the budget session, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy moved a motion condoling Nanditha's demise. He fondly recalled his association with her late father, G Sayanna, a five-time MLA from the Secunderabad Cantonment constituency, and highlighted the family's commitment to public service.

Other state ministers and members across party lines also spoke, emphasizing Nanditha's potential in politics, her unfortunate demise, and the tragic loss for the community. The assembly observed a two-minute silence in her honor.
