Jharkhand Congress Gears Up for Assembly Polls with Strategic Meetings

The Jharkhand Congress, led by state president Rajesh Thakur and in-charge Ghulam Ahmad Mir, held a series of meetings on Wednesday to strategize for the upcoming assembly polls. Discussions included ground-level party activation and preparations for the monsoon session starting July 26. The 'Har Ghar Khatkhat' campaign was also launched.

The Jharkhand Congress, under the leadership of state president Rajesh Thakur and in-charge Ghulam Ahmad Mir, convened a series of strategic discussions on Wednesday to prepare for the upcoming assembly polls. The meetings, held at Circuit House in Ranchi, also focused on energizing ground-level party workers.

Key issues such as the party's approach for the impending monsoon session of the Jharkhand assembly, which will run from July 26 to August 2, were thoroughly reviewed. This session is significant as it marks the last of the fifth Jharkhand Assembly.

''We have deliberated comprehensively on strategies for both the assembly polls and the upcoming monsoon session,'' Mir told reporters. The leadership vacancy left by Alamgir Alam, who resigned amid money laundering charges, was also addressed. The party is expected to name a new Congress legislative party (CLP) leader shortly.

Mir reassured that the seat-sharing arrangement with ally partners for the upcoming polls would be seamless, highlighting their focus on selecting candidates with strong grassroots support. Thakur and Mir also engaged with intellectuals from other backward classes and scheduled castes.

In a significant move, the leaders prompted district presidents and in-charges to activate booth and panchayat level workers. The 'Har Ghar Khatkhat' campaign by the Jharkhand Youth Congress was also introduced, aiming to ensure government schemes' benefits reach every household.
