Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has declared his intention to personally invite all 10 Kuki-Zo legislators to attend the forthcoming Assembly session.

Singh stressed the importance of their participation and said he would also send formal invitations through the Assembly. This appeal comes as the sixth session of the Manipur Legislative Assembly is scheduled from July 31 to August 6, with Kuki-Zo MLAs having missed the last two sessions due to ethnic violence in the state.

Additionally, Singh spoke on his planned visit to Delhi for a NITI Aayog meeting and a chief ministers' conclave. He aims to discuss Manipur's ongoing issues and hopes for positive resolutions. Commenting on the recent arson in Jiribam district, Singh noted that investigations are underway, and the incident appears to be an act of individuals intent on stirring unrest.
