In a heartwarming gesture, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has provided a sewing machine to cobbler Ram Chet, one day after making a brief stop at his shop in Sultanpur. According to a party spokesperson, Gandhi's aim is to alleviate the pains associated with the cobbler's work.
Gandhi, on his way back to Lucknow, took time to understand the challenges faced by Ram Chet’s family. UP Congress spokesperson Anshu Awasthi acknowledged Gandhi's efforts, noting his empathy towards the struggles of ordinary people.
Ram Chet expressed his gratitude, stating that meeting Gandhi was unexpected and uplifting. He had only seen the leader on TV before this surprise visit. Gandhi was in Sultanpur to attend a court hearing related to a 2018 defamation case.
