A day after Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi visited Ram Chet's cobbler shop, the Congress leader has gifted him a modern sewing machine, as confirmed by a party spokesperson.

Rahul Gandhi had made an unscheduled stop at Chet's shop while traveling from Sultanpur to Lucknow. During his visit, Gandhi interacted with the cobbler, understanding the complexities and challenges he faces in his work.

'By providing this modern sewing machine, Rahul Gandhi has sent a message of solidarity with the poor and the oppressed,' said UP Congress spokesperson Manish Hindvi. Ram Chet expressed his gratitude, stating the equipment would significantly enhance his productivity, allowing him to make more shoes and other accessories.
