In a spirited debate on the Union Budget in the Lok Sabha, TDP MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu dismissed opposition claims that the budget provided special treatment to Andhra Pradesh.
Devarayalu, whose party is part of the NDA, emphasized that Andhra Pradesh was not favored in the budget, despite opposition assertions to the contrary. He pointed out the state's unscientific bifurcation in 2014 under the Congress-led UPA government, adding that the state's increasing debt necessitates more central support.
He reassured that the BJP-led NDA government would complete its full five-year term, reiterating that Andhra Pradesh only received what it was rightfully due in the Union Budget.
