Karnataka Energy Minister KJ George on Monday lashed out at the opposition party for what he termed as unfounded allegations against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah concerning land assignment by the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA). He said the Chief Minister had already clarified the matter with supporting documents in a press conference, yet the opposition continues to twist the facts.

George articulated that the opposition's claims about the allotment of land to the Chief Minister's wife at a 50:50 ratio were baseless. "It was actually the BJP government that made this decision. Now, they are unjustly accusing the Chief Minister," he emphasized. George also pointed out that accusations made during the Valmiki Corporation scam discussions were equally spurious, accusing the opposition of playing politics without allowing the Chief Minister an opportunity to respond. With regards to MUDA, George reiterated that the Chief Minister had clarified everything with corroborating documents and declared, "There is no injustice in our government."

Highlighting his own experience with false accusations, George recalled the case of IAS officer D.K. Ravi's suicide, in which a CBI investigation cleared him of any involvement. "Unfortunately, the media did not report this. This should not happen in the Chief Minister's case either," he added. Urging the media to present the truth, George stated, "It is the media's responsibility to criticize politicians when they are wrong and to support them when they do good work." The program was attended by various dignitaries including MLA H.D. Thammaiah, Mr. Nayaz Ahmed, and Deputy Commissioner Ms. Meena Nagaraj. (ANI)
