Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday bid a ceremonial farewell to outgoing governor C P Radhakrishnan at Ranchi's Birsa Munda Airport.
Radhakrishnan departed for Maharashtra, where he will take office as the new governor. Soren was joined by notable political figures including minister Banna Gupta, MP Nalin Soren, and legislator Kalpana Soren, along with top bureaucrats such as chief secretary L Khiangte.
Former Union labor minister Santosh Kumar Gangwar is set to become Jharkhand's 12th governor, taking his oath at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday. In a warm gesture, Soren, accompanied by his wife, also visited the Raj Bhavan to extend their heartfelt wishes to Radhakrishnan for a long and healthy life.
The chief minister expressed optimism that the people of Jharkhand would continue to receive the love, blessings, and guidance of the departing governor.
