Jishnu Dev Varma, former Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura, was officially sworn in as the Governor of Telangana on Wednesday. The ceremony, held in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and his cabinet colleagues, marked a significant moment in the state's political landscape.

The oath of office was administered by Alok Aradhe, the Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court. Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy, along with several other senior officials, also attended the event, highlighting its importance.

Earlier in the day, Varma received a ceremonial welcome at the airport, where he was greeted by Chief Minister Reddy, Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, and DGP Jitender among others. In his address, Varma thanked the President and Prime Minister for appointing him as Governor, noting that it was a historic first for someone from Tripura to hold such a position.
