Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi Visit Landslide-Hit Areas in Wayanad

Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra visited landslide-affected Chooralmala and Meppadi in Wayanad. They examined the construction of the Bailey bridge, interacted with victims' families at a hospital, and visited relief camps. The landslides, triggered by heavy rain, have claimed 173 lives so far.

Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra visited the landslide-affected areas of Chooralmala and Meppadi in Wayanad on Thursday.

Upon arrival, they inspected the construction of a Bailey bridge, navigating the muddy terrain and rainfall. They interacted with grieving families at a hospital and community health centre in Meppadi.

Following their visit, they will head to relief camps in the region. The landslides, caused by heavy rains, have resulted in 173 fatalities, including women and children.
