UP Deputy CM Vows Severe Punishment for Ayodhya Rape Culprits

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak has promised harsh punishment for those involved in the Ayodhya rape case, ensuring that future generations will remember it. He also criticized the Samajwadi Party, alleging it harbors hooliganism and anarchy. Police have arrested Moid Khan and his employee Raju Khan for the crime.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Sunday declared that those guilty of the Ayodhya rape case would face such severe punishment that it will be remembered by their future generations.

Pathak took a sharp jab at the Samajwadi Party (SP), accusing them of having hooliganism and anarchy in their DNA. This statement came following SP's demand for DNA testing of the accused.

Pathak responded to SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav’s plea for court-ordered protection for the rape survivor, due to the case's sensitivity, reiterating the promise of harsh punishment. Police arrested Moid Khan and Raju Khan on July 30 in connection with the minor's rape, which came to light when she was found pregnant during a medical checkup.

Further intensifying his attack on SP, Pathak alleged that the party has a history of supporting criminals. He stated that SP leaders consistently align with wrongdoers and criticized them for attempting to use the incident for political gains. Pathak confirmed that the government stood by the survivor and was taking continuous action against the culprits.

In contrast, Yadav, in a post on X, urged the government to provide the best medical care for the survivor and requested the court to ensure her protection given the incident's seriousness. He criticized attempts to politicize the situation.

A three-member BJP delegation met the victim's family to gather information, which they will report to BJP's national president of the OBC Morcha. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also attacked SP, alleging Moid Khan’s affiliation with the party. The district administration later demolished Khan's illegally built bakery.
