Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma announced on Sunday that the state government would fill 1 lakh job vacancies within the year, focusing on youth employment.
Sharma also revealed plans for improved sports facilities to enhance Rajasthan's representation in the Olympic Games. He criticized the previous Congress government for delaying the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) aimed at solving drinking and irrigation water problems in eastern Rajasthan. The BJP, he said, had paved the way for ERCP's implementation, as discussed during a meeting in Dungarpur, Dausa.
The current administration has also formed an SIT to expedite investigations into exam paper leaks, ensuring strict action against culprits. Emphasizing an inclusive approach, Sharma highlighted the revised budget's commitment to the upliftment of the poor, youth, farmers, and women, along with signing an MoU for the revised Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal Link Project, integrating it with ERCP.
