Escalating Middle East Tensions: US Reinforces Military Presence Amid Rising Conflicts

The United States is bolstering its military forces in the Middle East in an effort to de-escalate growing tensions, according to a White House official.

Regional tensions have surged following the assassinations of Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas leader, in Tehran and Fuad Shukr, a senior Hezbollah commander, in Beirut.

Both Iran-backed groups, Hamas and Hezbollah, have vowed retaliation against Israel for the killings. President Joe Biden will convene his national security team on Monday to assess and address the situation.
