On Monday, Imran Khan's party alleged that the former Pakistan prime minister is receiving "substandard food" in jail, causing his health to deteriorate, an act they attribute to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. PTI demanded an immediate medical checkup for Khan.

Monday also marked a black day observed by PTI, commemorating a year since the 71-year-old former cricketer-turned-politician's arrest in a 190-million pound corruption case. Senior PTI leader Moonis Elahi accused the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) of mistreating Khan.

PTI leaders praised Khan's resilience over his year in jail and demanded his immediate release on what they claim are false charges. Allegations also include threats to his life and inadequate jail conditions. PTI calls for transparency about Khan's health and accuses the powerful military establishment of orchestrating his continued imprisonment.
