Congress leaders have categorically refuted claims made by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra attended Mukesh Ambani's son Anant's wedding. According to party officials, Gandhi was not even in India during the event.
The matter escalated on Tuesday when Congress general secretary K C Venugopal raised the issue in the Lok Sabha, supported by Nationalist Congress Party MP Supriya Sule. Dubey's claim was dismissed as a blatant lie and part of a broader strategy to malign political figures.
''There is nothing wrong in attending a wedding, even Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended it,'' said Sule. ''But creating fake narratives is problematic. The BJP needs to understand the impact of such actions on families,'' she added.
