In a gesture of gratitude, Assam's 14 NDA MPs, led by Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday. They thanked him for ushering in a new era of peace, progress, and prosperity in Assam over the last decade.
The delegation, comprising members from the BJP, Asom Gana Parishad, and United People's Party Liberal, highlighted the significant contributions made under Modi's leadership. These include flood assistance from the Union budget, the UNESCO heritage site listing of Charaideo Moidams, the establishment of northeast India's first semiconductor plant, and the strategic approval of the Guwahati ring road.
Sonowal expressed the collective appreciation in a post on X, emphasizing the transformative impact of Modi's governance on the state. The MPs' visit underscores the ongoing efforts and achievements in Assam's development.
