Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar voiced concerns Saturday about a narrative suggesting that recent events in Bangladesh could also unfold in India. He urged vigilance against those promoting such ideas, highlighting that these individuals have held significant positions, including being members of Parliament, ministers, and experienced diplomats.

Speaking at the Platinum Jubilee of the Rajasthan High Court in Jodhpur, Dhankhar questioned how responsible figures could spread false propaganda about India following Bangladesh's trajectory. He warned that anti-national forces are leveraging constitutional institutions to gain credibility.

"These forces aim to destabilize the nation and hinder its progress by creating deceptive narratives. National interest is paramount and must not be compromised," he asserted. Dhankhar praised the judiciary for bolstering democracy's roots and noted the judiciary's lone bow to dictatorship during the Emergency. He stressed the need for youth to learn about this dark period and lauded the Government's decision to mark June 25 as Constitution Murder Day, a reminder of the Constitution's assault in 1975.
