The Punjab unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is set to introduce the 'Aapka MLA Aapke Dwar' programme to address issues faced by the state's residents, according to party leaders on Tuesday.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led a meeting with AAP MLAs and MPs to review the performance in each assembly constituency. Post-meeting, AAP MP Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer asserted that direct interaction is crucial for understanding public issues, and MLAs are committed to engaging personally with their constituents.

This initiative echoes the 'Sarkar Aapke Dwar' programme, where AAP officials visit villages to resolve issues. Similar to this, MLAs will now visit homes to address concerns directly. Anandpur Sahib MP Malvinder Singh Kang noted that CM Mann solicited feedback on the government's past two-and-a-half-year performance and provided future guidelines.

Kang also urged the Centre to change its stance towards Punjab, stressing that removing any sense of revenge is essential for development projects. He further highlighted the improved law and order under AAP's stewardship compared to prior administrations.
