Walz and Vance to Face Off in Key Debate

U.S. Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz confirmed he will debate his Republican rival JD Vance on Oct. 1. CBS News proposed four debate dates, but Vance also expressed interest in multiple debates. Vice President Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are set to debate on Sept. 10.

U.S. Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz announced on Wednesday that he has agreed to a debate with his Republican rival JD Vance on Oct. 1. This date is one of several proposed by CBS News, which has offered the campaigns four possible dates: Sept. 17, Sept. 24, Oct. 1, and Oct. 8.

In an interview with Fox News, Vance expressed his anticipation for the upcoming debate, saying, 'I strongly suspect we're going to be there on October the 1st.' He also indicated his desire for additional debates with Walz.

Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, and Republican nominee Donald Trump are scheduled to face off in a separate debate hosted by ABC News on Sept. 10.
