Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has vowed to transform Uttarakhand into the finest and self-sufficient state in India. Speaking on the country's 78th Independence Day, Dhami outlined various schemes and achievements to achieve this goal. These include sustainable development, introducing a Uniform Civil Code, and fighting corruption.

Dhami highlighted the government's achievements, such as being the first state to draft a Uniform Civil Code and introducing the Gross Environment Product. He also mentioned the state's efforts in curbing corruption by imprisoning over 100 individuals involved in corrupt practices. Additionally, Uttarakhand has implemented the country's toughest anti-copying law and stringent anti-conversion legislation.

The state aims to establish 1,000 solar villages and produce 2,000 MW of solar energy by 2025, rising to 4,000 MW by 2027. Other developmental projects include a trout fish production scheme, model veterinary hospitals, and various incentives for tourism and local industries. Enhanced rail and air connectivity, along with new ropeway projects, are also in the pipeline.
