Uddhav Thackeray Vows Support for MVA's CM Candidate

Uddhav Thackeray, leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), announced his support for any chief ministerial candidate chosen by Congress and NCP (SP) for the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance. He emphasized the importance of the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections as a fight to protect the state's self-respect.

Uddhav Thackeray, the chief of Shiv Sena (UBT), pledged his support on Friday for any candidate chosen by Congress and NCP (SP) as the chief ministerial face for the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance.

Addressing MVA party workers, Thackeray underscored that the forthcoming assembly elections are pivotal for preserving Maharashtra's self-respect. The polls are anticipated to occur in October or November, with the MVA comprising Sena (UBT), Sharad Pawar-led NCP (SP), and Congress.

Thackeray emphasized that his battle is not personal but aimed at safeguarding Maharashtra's rights. He urged the MVA cadres to prioritize the state's interest over their own and to act as ambassadors for the opposition alliance. Additionally, Thackeray critiqued Prime Minister Narendra Modi's stance on a secular civil code and the delayed passage of the Waqf (Amendment) Bill.
