The National Conference has called on the Election Commission of India (ECI) to launch a thorough investigation into the substantial transfers made within the police and civil administration.
Ali Mohammad Sagar, the general secretary of the National Conference, claims that the transfers are designed to compromise the integrity of the electoral process. He alleges that these moves could provide the ruling party with an undue administrative advantage over the opposition.
The reshuffle, which saw numerous senior police officers transferred and changes in the civil administration, has sparked concerns as it coincides with the upcoming assembly elections. The National Conference demands immediate suspension of the orders pending investigation by the ECI.
