Congress leader Deepender Hooda orchestrated a spirited homecoming for wrestler Vinesh Phogat at Delhi airport on Saturday, following her disqualification from the Paris Olympics.

Amid rumors of a political conspiracy linked to her participation in a previous wrestlers' protest, Haryana's political landscape has heated up ahead of upcoming elections. Both Congress and BJP have extended their support to Phogat, with the BJP accusing Congress of politicizing the event.

Hooda, along with other wrestlers, accompanied Phogat in a celebratory procession to her hometown Charkhi Dadri, while political leaders from both sides exchanged barbs over who champions Phogat’s cause more genuinely.
