Protests erupted across district headquarters, with Congress leaders denouncing the Governor's actions through dharnas, foot-marches, and rallies. High-profile Congress members, including Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, led demonstrations at Freedom Park as a show of strength. Shivakumar called the Governor's decision an 'attack on democracy.'

Meanwhile, BJP leaders rallied for Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's resignation, staging a dharna near Mahatma Gandhi's statue at Vidhana Soudha. Opposition leaders, including BJP state president Vijayendra and former Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, participated, criticizing Congress for undermining constitutional values.
