Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited Salon on Tuesday to meet the family of Arjun Pasi, a 22-year-old Dalit man who was shot dead recently. Gandhi promised to ensure that the family receives justice.
Speaking at Bhuvalpur Sisni village, Gandhi said the local community is demanding justice as the alleged mastermind behind the killing has not been apprehended. He criticized the local police for detaining minor suspects while failing to target the primary culprit.
Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, reaffirmed his commitment to justice, stating that every societal segment in Uttar Pradesh deserves respect and fair treatment. Accompanied by Congress officials, he visited the village immediately after arriving at Fursatganj airport.
