During a conference in Sangrur commemorating former SAD president Sant Harchand Singh Longowal's death anniversary, Badal emphasized the unfulfilled promises related to Punjab's river water rights and the transfer of Chandigarh and Punjabi-speaking areas.

Highlighting the betrayal by Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party, Badal urged Punjab's people to support SAD to prevent the weakening of the Sikh community.
