Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader, Champai Soren, announced plans to bolster a new political party, indicating that a clearer picture on his next move would emerge within a week. 'I will not retire from politics. In this new chapter, I intend to strengthen the new organisation. If I find a suitable ally, I'll move forward with that friendship to serve the people and the state,' Soren stated, leaving open the possibility of future alliances.

When confronted about the timing of forming a new party, Soren retorted, 'Do you have any issue? We don't have any problem in forming the new party. A new party can be established, and if there's a friend, we can progress with them. Everything will become clear in a week.' On Tuesday night, Soren returned to his hometown, Seraikela Kharsawan, where supporters welcomed him warmly.

Soren's return from Delhi has intensified speculation about him potentially joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). On social media, he expressed grievances about being 'insulted' during his tenure as Chief Minister and indicated that all options are on the table ahead of the Jharkhand Assembly elections.

Addressing his return, Soren said, 'I went to Delhi for personal reasons and made that post. The nation saw my thoughts, and I stand by them. I have three options ahead: retirement, forming a new party, or collaborating with a good companion if found. The overwhelming support from my followers has led me to reconsider retirement. I have had no communication with anyone from the JMM.' Meanwhile, current Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren accused the BJP of attempting to poach MLAs and destabilise the state government, claiming their tactics aim to divide families and communities.

As the political landscape in Jharkhand heats up, all eyes are on Champai Soren's next move, with significant implications for the upcoming state elections.
