BJP's Rajya Sabha candidate from Rajasthan, Ravneet Singh Bittu, has accused certain farmer leaders in Punjab of spreading false propaganda to suggest widespread dissatisfaction with the saffron party among the state's farmers. Bittu made these remarks while addressing reporters after filing his nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha elections.
Specifically, he noted that a handful of farmer leaders are misleading the agro-community to serve their own interests. He emphasized that the farmers of Punjab are content with the BJP's policies and forecasted that the party will form the government in Haryana after the upcoming assembly polls, and in Punjab by 2027.
Bittu also criticized the narrative built around the farmers' inability to visit Delhi, pointing out that those carrying weapons rightfully face restrictions. Meanwhile, he highlighted that national projects are being stalled in Punjab due to the actions of these misleading leaders, hampering business growth and causing entrepreneurs to exit the state.
