Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Saturday accused the Congress party of exposing its anti-national intentions by allying with the National Conference (NC) for the upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state headquarters, Sharma praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for bringing peace, prosperity, and security to Jammu and Kashmir by abolishing Articles 370 and 35(A). He lambasted the Congress for attempting to disrupt this progress by joining forces with the 'Pakistan-sponsored family party.'

The NC and Congress announced a pre-poll alliance on Thursday, marking the first assembly election in Jammu and Kashmir since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019. Sharma condemned the Congress for supporting dynasty politics and misleading the youth in the region, alleging that the partnership aims to reintroduce unrest and anarchy.

Sharma emphasized that under Modi's leadership, Jammu and Kashmir has seen developments in peace, employment, and reservation, and criticized Congress for wanting to revoke these gains. He also posed ten pointed questions to Congress and Rahul Gandhi regarding their support for NC's promises, including the controversial topic of a separate flag and the reinstatement of Articles 370 and 35A.
