Lieutenant General M V Suchindra Kumar, Northern Army Commander, conducted a thorough review of the operational readiness of troops stationed along the Line of Control in the Rajouri sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.
The review comes ahead of the three-phase assembly elections in the Union territory commencing on September 18. General Kumar's visit aims to assess the security measures in place to ensure a smooth electoral process.
Accompanied by the WhiteKnight Corps Commander, Lt Gen Kumar toured the Sunderbani Sector, where he evaluated the synergy between security forces and their operational preparedness. He was briefed on the current security situation and visited supporting units, emphasizing the importance of comprehensive operational readiness. He lauded the troops for their professionalism and morale in facing future challenges.
