Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed sorrow over the deaths of six hostages, stating that the killings prove Hamas does not desire a cease-fire deal.
On Sunday, Netanyahu conveyed his heartbreak upon hearing the news of the hostages' deaths.
He accused Hamas of killing the hostages in "cold blood" and vowed that Israel would hold the group accountable. Netanyahu also accused Hamas of derailing ongoing cease-fire efforts.
"Whoever murders hostages doesn't want a deal," he asserted.
Meanwhile, critics in Israel have accused Netanyahu of dragging his feet in cease-fire talks — a charge he denies.
