Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Monday acknowledged the visible presence of the Pawar family in Baramati amidst the recent Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) split. Residents have noticed that all Pawar members are more actively reaching out to inquire about their wellbeing, a shift attributed to the ongoing political rift.
Speaking at a Jan Sanman Yatra event, Pawar mentioned how voters now see a distinctly different Baramati, with Pawars from both factions engaging more directly with constituents. 'It is up to the voters to decide who they want to choose,' he stated, highlighting the democratic process.
Pawar also addressed a recent protest by opposition leaders and urged against politicizing the collapse of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's statue in Malvan, suggesting that no government would ever want such an incident to occur deliberately. The comments come as his son, Jay Pawar, participated in a bike rally symbolizing the ongoing campaign efforts in Baramati.
