In a significant political development, former Delhi minister Rajendra Pal Gautam resigned from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday. Gautam asserted that his resignation is aimed at intensifying the struggle for social justice.
Sources reveal that the Seemapuri MLA may consider joining the Congress party, potentially boosting its ranks ahead of the forthcoming Delhi Assembly elections.
Gautam, who stepped down as social welfare minister in October 2022 after making controversial remarks about Hindu deities, announced on X that he is resigning from all AAP posts to drive greater participation of the Bahujan Samaj in various sectors.
