Refueling Hurdle: Defence Minister's Unexpected Road Trip

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh embarked on an unplanned road trip to Varanasi from Garhwa after his helicopter could not be refueled. The minister was in Jharkhand for BJP's Parivartan rally. This hiccup comes amid BJP's ongoing yatras across the state, featuring several top leaders ahead of upcoming assembly elections.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh faced unforeseen travel disruptions when his helicopter was unable to refuel in Garhwa, Jharkhand, prompting a road journey to Varanasi, a top police official reported.

Jharkhand DGP Anurag Gupta disclosed that the vehicle responsible for delivering fuel failed to arrive, leading to Singh's road departure. It's about 200 km from Garhwa to Varanasi.

This incident closely follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent trip to Jamshedpur via Ranchi due to similar weather-related helicopter issues. Rajnath Singh's visit to Jharkhand included stops in Itkhori and Garhwa as part of BJP's Parivartan Yatra, ahead of the state's assembly elections.
