National Conference president Farooq Abdullah reiterated his commitment to pursue the restoration of Article 370, citing it as essential to the honour of Jammu and Kashmir's people. He vowed to continue knocking on the Supreme Court's door for justice.
Speaking at an election rally in support of party candidate Choudhary Javid in Budhal, Abdullah criticized the BJP-led government's claim that terrorism had been eradicated following the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019. He noted the ongoing terror attacks, especially in the usually peaceful Jammu region, as evidence to the contrary.
Abdullah questioned the silence of top BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, over a recent gang rape incident in Ayodhya. He emphasized that the NC-Congress coalition was determined to win the upcoming elections and end the BJP's decade-long rule in J&K.
