JMM Urges EC for Early Polls to Complete Full Term

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has requested the Election Commission to finish the assembly election process by the first week of December, allowing the current government to complete its full term. The BJP has requested single-phase elections and the removal of home secretary Vandana Dadel from election duties, citing improved law and order conditions.

The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Monday appealed to the Election Commission (EC) to complete polling for the upcoming assembly elections by the first week of December, ensuring the current administration fulfills its term.

Conversely, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) sought a single-phase election and called for the exemption of home secretary Vandana Dadel from election responsibilities, citing improved security in the state.

A delegation from the EC, led by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar, visited Ranchi to evaluate election preparations and conduct initial discussions with political parties.
