Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has expressed confidence that his party will form the government in Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir following the conclusion of the assembly polls.
During an exclusive interview with ANI on Monday, the Rajya Sabha MP addressed key issues including justice for soldiers, farmers, and wrestlers, which are encapsulated in the slogan "Jai jawan, jai kisaan, jai pehelwan." He noted significant injustices within these groups in Haryana.
Ramesh reiterated the demand for a legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price (MSP), slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's silence during farmers' protests, and underlined the party's commitment to loan waivers and conducting a caste census. Moreover, he shared optimism about a coalition government in Jammu & Kashmir with the National Conference, stressing the restoration of full statehood.
He also addressed a recent remark by Union Minister Amit Shah, urging him to focus on his responsibilities, including the situation in Manipur. Additionally, Ramesh called for the resignation of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman following a court ruling regarding the electoral bonds case.
