An anonymous Western diplomat in Cairo, involved in de-escalation efforts, described the imminent Israeli ground operation in Lebanon as “limited.” Israel has shared its plans with the U.S. and other Western allies. Hezbollah, however, remains defiant, promising to continue fighting despite losing key leaders, including Hassan Nasrallah.
