The Haryana government on Tuesday granted 20-day parole to the sect chief, official sources said. This decision followed a letter to Haryana Jail Department's additional chief secretary by the state chief electoral officer, referring to a September 30 letter citing emergency and compelling reasons for the parole request.

The CEO emphasized that the state government might consider the 20-day parole, contingent upon verifying the reasons provided in the letter. Conditions include prohibiting Singh from entering Haryana, delivering public speeches, and engaging in political activities during the parole period. He warned that any violation, particularly election-related activities, would result in immediate cancellation of the parole.
