Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition, held the BJP government accountable for escalating unemployment, crime, and drug-related issues in Haryana during his speech on Friday. He took to social media platform 'X' to share his experiences and interactions with people during the Vijay Sankalp Yatra.
Gandhi questioned the rise in drugs and crime in Haryana, attributing it to the unemployment propagated by the BJP, which he claimed endangered the state's future, youth, and security. He detailed his meetings with Haryana residents who shared homemade rotis and confided in him about the state's complex problems during his journey.
He alleged the BJP's policies had broken the system's backbone, affecting employment prospects. Missteps in GST, demonetization, Agniveer, and family identification schemes were cited as contributors. Gandhi pledged to provide 2 lakh permanent jobs and eliminate drugs in Haryana. State elections are slated for Saturday, with results announced on October 8.
