The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) successfully crossed the majority threshold in the Haryana assembly elections, according to the latest data on the Election Commission's website. The BJP was leading on 49 seats, while the Congress was ahead in 35 constituencies.

Several prominent candidates are showcasing mixed performances. Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was leading in Ladwa, Kurukshetra, while Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda maintained a significant lead in Garhi Sampla-Kiloi. Meanwhile, BJP heavyweight Anil Vij was trailing behind an Independent in Ambala Cantt.

The election sees a fierce battle between the BJP and Congress, with the Aam Aadmi Party, INLD-BSP, and JJP-Azad Samaj Party also vying for representation across 90 constituencies. The results are crucial as the BJP seeks a third consecutive term against a resurgent Congress.
