Tariq Karra's Commanding Lead in Central Shalteng

Jammu and Kashmir Congress chief Tariq Karra has established an unassailable lead against National Conference rebel Irfan Shah in the Central Shalteng assembly segment, according to the Election Commission's website.

By the end of the 13th round of counting, Karra secured 18,892 votes, outpacing Shah's tally of 4,523 votes by a staggering 14,369 votes.

Although the NC and Congress formed a pre-election alliance in Jammu and Kashmir, a friendly contest persisted for five seats. Several leaders, including Shah, defied the coalition to run as Independents.
