On Wednesday, efforts commenced for establishing a new government in Haryana as Nayab Singh Saini met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, positioning himself for leadership following the BJP's recent electoral success.
During the elections, the BJP hinted at choosing Saini, a member of the Other Backward Classes, to replace Manohar Lal Khattar should they win. Meanwhile, the Congress raised concerns about voting discrepancies, urging an inquiry into certain Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
Despite anti-incumbency, the BJP secured a significant win, retaining power in Haryana. Independent MLAs have pledged support, fortifying the party's majority. The swearing-in is expected post-Dussehra, as Saini attributes the win to the BJP's policies and leadership.
