In a sharp critique of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Nationalist Congress Party's Sharad Pawar accused the BJP of disregarding its veteran members. On Sunday, Pawar spoke at NCP (SP) headquarters following the induction of former BJP MLA Charan Waghmare into his fold.
Pawar noted that the schedule for the upcoming state assembly elections will be announced within days. He emphasized that newly inducted members would collaborate with Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) partners, including Congress and Shiv Sena (UBT), to address key political agendas.
Pawar alleged that a senior BJP official disclosed that 80 percent of leaders joining NCP (SP) hail from the BJP, citing respect for legacy and organizational skills. He voiced his commitment to sustaining support for farmers, youth welfare, and social harmony.
