In a crucial press conference ahead of the upcoming Maharashtra elections, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut addressed the media on Monday, highlighting the ongoing discussions around seat-sharing within the Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition. He assured that the formula would be finalized by the evening.
Dispelling rumors of delays from the Congress, Raut attributed their decision-making process to their high command in Delhi, much like the BJP and Shinde faction leaders. 'There won't be any differences; we will come together to decide,' he confidently stated. He also emphasized the necessity for all parties, including Congress, to make concessions in this alliance.
Raut also reflected on the political dynamics with BJP, stating that despite BJP's international stature, the Shiv Sena prioritizes Maharashtra's interests. As the BJP released its first list of candidates for the 288-seat assembly elections, both Mahayuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi alliances ramp up preparations, intensifying seat-sharing negotiations.
