The Peasants and Workers Party (PWP) expressed discontent after the Shiv Sena (UBT) announced candidates for Uran, Sangola, and Loha assembly seats. PWP, led by Jayant Patil, had hoped to secure these constituencies and now plans to negotiate with NCP chief Sharad Pawar.
The Shiv Sena (UBT) put forward Eknath Pawar for Loha, Deepak Salunkhe Patil for Sangola, and Manohar Bhoir for Uran, further straining their alliance with PWP. Notably, Loha is currently held by a PWP representative.
While the Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition, which includes Congress, NCP (SP), and Shiv Sena (UBT), has agreed to contest 85 seats each, discussions about the distribution of the remaining 33 out of 288 seats continue amidst tensions among allies.
