Sajad Lone, leader of the People's Conference, voiced strong criticism on Friday regarding the ongoing delay in reinstating statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, labeling it as a 'sin' against the Union Territory's residents.
Lone, a legislator representing Handwara in north Kashmir, insisted on including Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in all security-related meetings, despite political differences.
He asserted that statehood is a right, not a privilege, and questioned the Union government for its delay, urging swift action on the matter, highlighting essential local input in security strategy.
