Political tensions flared in Maharashtra as Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut called for legal proceedings against Deputy Chief Ministers Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis. Raut accused them of breaching oaths of confidentiality amid allegations surrounding a multi-crore irrigation scam.

Raut's statements came after Ajit Pawar recently alleged that former home minister R. R. Patil initiated an open inquiry against him, which he deemed a betrayal. Fadnavis, during his tenure as chief minister, allegedly revealed related confidential files to Pawar.

As the state gears up for the upcoming assembly elections, Raut stressed the importance of unity within the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance and promised to mend internal disputes, securing the majority of their candidate lineup across Maharashtra's 288 constituencies.
