With the Maharashtra assembly elections approaching, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar expressed strong confidence in the Mahayuti alliance's triumph, predicting they will secure over 175 seats. The 288-member legislature is set for a heated contest, with Polls scheduled for November 20 and vote counting on November 23.

Ajit Pawar, a prominent NCP figure, campaigns from the Baramati assembly constituency, asserting he will surpass a one lakh vote margin. The seven-term MLA faces competition from his nephew Yugendra Pawar, a first-time candidate. Pawar toured Baramati, engaging with locals and addressing their concerns during his campaign trail.

The Mahayuti alliance, including BJP, Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena, and Ajit Pawar's NCP, confronts the Maha Vikas Aghadi, which consists of Congress, Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena, and the NCP led by Sharad Pawar. The electoral climate intensifies with Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis repudiating AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi's remarks, referencing the historical 'Razakars' in Marathwada.
